HOOZ

Overview

What HOOZ does, who it serves, and the one sentence the whole system defends.

HOOZ moves value from the Zcash shielded pool to Robinhood Chain in one deposit. You name a Robinhood Chain address, send shielded ZEC once to a one-time address, and about eight minutes later the delivery sits at the address you named.

The sentence HOOZ defends

Nothing on Robinhood Chain links the address that receives the delivery to the ZEC that paid for it.

The rest of these docs explain what that sentence rests on, where it stops holding, and which parts of the road you trust along the way.

Who it is for

  • You hold ZEC in the shielded pool and want a position on Robinhood Chain.
  • You do not want that position to carry a public line back to your Zcash history, your exchange account or your other wallets.
  • You want to check every step yourself rather than take a custodian's word.

What gets delivered

HOOZ has two phases, and the tracker tells you which one your order used.

What HOOZ is built from

  • NEAR Intents 1Click turns shielded ZEC into ETH on Robinhood Chain. Solvers compete to fill each intent.
  • Relay carries ETH from Arbitrum One to Robinhood Chain in about one block. HOOZ uses it only when no solver quotes the direct road.
  • The Sorter, one contract on Robinhood Chain, derives an envelope for each address, sweeps it and buys $WHOZ.
  • The site quotes, opens orders and tracks them. It stores no list of users: your orders live in your browser.

What HOOZ is not

It runs no bridge and no mixer, and it takes no custody. The privacy comes from Zcash. HOOZ shortens the road and says out loud where the trust sits.
